GOALS

1.1 AIDA PHILIPPINES GOALS
1.1.1 AIDA Philippines has the following goals

  • The development of freediving in the country.

  • The organization of local and international competitions.

  • The standardization of regulations in regard to education, competitions and records.

  • The recognition and registration of records and achievements for the various disciplines of freediving.

  • The development and enhancement of media presence nationally and internationally.

  • The development of sponsorship opportunities for athletes, events and organizations.

1.1.2 AIDA Philippines may undertake all necessary or reasonable steps to achieve these goals.


1.1.3 AIDA Philippines may associate itself with other organizations.


1.1.4 AIDA Philippines shall operate as a not-for-profit organization.

MEMBERS

2.1 ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP
2.1.1 To be eligible to be admitted as a Member of AIDA Philippines, an individual must complete the registration form and pay the membership fee to AIDA Philippines’ PayPal account.


2.2 EXISTING MEMBERS
2.2.1 Current members of AIDA Philippines need not to complete the registration form and pay the membership fee. After their membership expires in one year, they would have to renew their membership.

EXECUTIVE BOARD

3.1 OFFICERS
3.1.1 AIDA Philippines shall have the following executives responsible for the functions set forth below for each department. As a not-for-profit organization, the officers of the executive board do volunteer work. There is no compensation for their work done.

3.1.1.1 President.

The President shall be responsible for leading the Executive Board. The President shall also be the primary contact with outside organizations, except to the extent that such role is delegated to another person (Vice-President or Secretary) by the President.


3.1.1.2 Vice-President.

The Vice-President shall perform the responsibilities of the President when requested by the President.


3.1.1.3 Treasurer.

The Treasurer shall be responsible for AIDA Philippines’ financial matters, and shall provide such reporting to the Executive Board, including but not limited to quarterly and annual reports.


3.1.1.4 Secretary.

The Secretary shall be the official recipient of all notices to AIDA Philippines, its Executive Board, and is responsible for communicating all notices to the Executive Board, as applicable. The Secretary shall be responsible for maintaining all corporate records for AIDA Philippines, including minutes of all meetings of the Executive Board, along with all actions and/or approvals of such entity.

3.2 ELECTION OF OFFICERS; TERMS.
3.2.1 Officers shall be elected biennially, by an election every December for the following year. Officer terms shall be for two years.


3.3 REMOVAL OF OFFICERS
3.3.1 The Executive Board may, by majority vote, remove any Officer for due cause; in the event of such removal, the Executive Board may vote to appoint another person to such position for the remainder of the original term.


3.4 EXECUTIVE BOARD
3.4.1 The Executive Board shall consist of the Officers listed in Section 3.1.


3.6 ADDITIONAL OFFICERS
3.6.1 In addition to the Officers listed in Section 3.1, AIDA Philippines shall have additional non-executive officers as set forth in this Section 6.6, which officers shall not have a vote on the Executive Board, but which shall be responsible for such functions as are set forth below or otherwise requested by the Executive Board. The officers listed in this Section 3.6 shall be nominated by the President, and each appointment is subject to approval by the Executive Board.

3.6.1.1 Media & PR Officer.

The Media and PR Officer (“Media Officer”) shall be responsible for communications matters for AIDA Philippines, and accordingly shall prepare statements/releases for review by the Executive Board, and shall also prepare such statements, releases and other materials as shall be requested by the Executive Board.


3.6.1.2 IT Officer.

The IT Officer shall manage and perform such IT related matters as requested by the Executive Board and President.

3.6.1.1 Sales Officer.

The Sales Officer shall be responsible for sales and merchandising matters for AIDA Philippines.

EVENTS

4.1 EVENTS
4.1.1 All members must have an active membership to be able to participate in any AIDA Philippines events.


4.2 COMPETITIONS
4.1.1 Competing athletes must submit their records after each competition using the start list and official results published by the organizer for updating the ranking database.


4.1.2 Membership with AIDA Philippines is required for the ranking and national records to be recognized within the organization.

4.1.3 AIDA official competitions held in the Philippines need to be approved by AIDA Philippines. A 10% fee based on the athlete’s registration fee shall be collected from the competition organizer (e.g. For a 200USD registration fee, a total of 20USD only shall be collected by AIDA Philippines from the organizer.)
